    • Common emotional and behavioral tendencies of investors in volatile markets and how these could lead to investment mistakes and harm one’s investment results.
  • 10:00am - Session 2: 'Texas Economic Outook' with Dr. Keith Phillips of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (1-hour of CE pending)

  • 11:45am - Session 3: 'Retirement Income Planning' with Dr. Wade Pfau, CFA of McLean Asset Management (1-hour of CE approved)
    • Retirement income is different as clients shift their focus from maximizing wealth to creating sustainable income, clients face a greater range of risks, and clients increasingly must solve a complex lifetime financial problem.
  • 12:45pm - Session 4: 'Housing Wealth and Retirement Income' with Harlan Accola, CRMP of Fairway Mortgage (1.5-hours of CE approved)
    • The reverse mortgage option should be viewed as a method for responsible retirees to create liquidity for an otherwise illiquid asset, which in turn can create new options that potentially support a more efficient retirement income strategy (more spending and/or a greater legacy).
    • Special Q&A Panel with Dr. Wade Pfau, CFA and Harlan Accola, CRMP

  • 2:30pm - Session 5: 'New Standards for a Fiduciary World—Understanding the CFP Board’s Revisions' with Dan Candura, CFP of the Candura Group, LLC (2-hours of Ethics CE approved)
    • This course fulfills the requirement for CFP Board Ethics CE. It has been designed to educate CFP® professionals on CFP Board's new Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct effective October 1, 2019.
